Currently in the fifth generation of the family, Dirk Niepoort stands out as one of the most important figures in the world of wine. He has contributed significantly to the legacy of Portuguese wine, collaborating with dozens of producers to help them improve the quality of their wines and better understand their vineyards. Dirk is known for creating unconventional wines and continues to work on multiple projects, covering virtually all wine regions of Portugal, as well as some international markets.

Redoma Tinto 2016: A Vinic Work of Art

Redoma Tinto 2016, one of Niepoort's emblematic creations, has a beautiful violet color and good concentration. This wine maintains an austere aromatic profile, full of character, with complexity and depth in the spice notes and a vegetal nuance typical of Tinta Amarela. Its expressive aroma also reveals a floral perfume harmoniously integrated with mineral notes.

On the palate, Redoma Tinto displays presence and good volume, becoming elegant thanks to its firm acidity and well-defined stem notes. Despite its youth, it already demonstrates remarkable precision and balance, the result of long aging in barrels. Its finish is very long and persistent, suggesting excellent aging potential.
