QUINTA DE LEMOS - JAEN - DÃO TINTO 75cl
Description
Garnet color. Elegant notes of red fruits, cherries and strawberries well combined with the wood that adds a spicy touch. Fresh, refined and with a deep flavor, a modern, versatile wine with very delicate tannins.
VITICULTURE
The vineyards are located in the Silgueiros sub-region between 350 and 400 meters above sea level. The variety is recognized by being glabrous (hairless), with short internodes and a bright light green color. The vines are managed under an integrated pest management program, and the application of herbicides is prohibited. Harvesting is done manually when the vines reach their optimal ripeness, typically between the second half of September and the first half of October. The grapes are harvested in small 10 kg boxes.
WINEMAKING
These wines are obtained after fermentation at a controlled temperature to preserve all their aromatic elegance, in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks for 7 to 10 days. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and subsequent aging for 15 months in order to enhance its structure and complexity.
