PLANSEL Grande Escolha Alentejo Tinto 2022

Plansel is an acronym for "Selected Plants," referring to the work of selecting grapevines to prevent the spread of diseases.

The Plansel line is characterized by the elegant, distinctive character and superior quality of the wines created in the unique terroir of Montemor-o-Novo.

All wines in this range are based on Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional grapes, with their respective single-varietal varieties as their hallmarks.

Plansel Grande Escolha Tinto is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels.
It is a blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca and 30% Tinta Barroca.

Tasting notes:

Intense violet color. Persistent and intense aroma of wild berries, with a predominance of spices and toasted grains. Slightly floral, conveying elegance. Strong, smooth flavor with high-quality tannins. Balanced and seductive finish.
