Quinta de Macedos - Pinga do Torto Douro Red 2023
Description
The 2023 year in the Douro Valley proved challenging, with a rainy winter followed by a long ripening season. This period was marked by high temperatures and rainy periods, requiring extra attention in the vineyard until harvest. Despite the adversities, the musts revealed intense aromas, deep color, and concentrated, aromatic flavors, reflecting the complexity of the terroir and the effort involved in all the winemaking.
Winemaking
This wine comes from our youngest vines and was made using traditional treading in a lagar, with spontaneous fermentation. It was then aged for six months in American oak barrels, adding nuances of flavor and structure. Bottling was done unfiltered, preserving the full expression of the fruit and vine.

Tasting Notes
It has vibrant aromas of ripe red fruits, enriched with notes of mint and balsamic touches.
On the palate, it is full-bodied, with remarkable concentration and a smooth, long and balanced finish, inviting an unforgettable sensory experience.
