Description
It is in Bucelas that we produce our white and sparkling wines. North of Lisbon, in the Trancão River Valley, this Demarcated Region, established in 1911, produces unique wines in small quantities, as do the Carcavelos and Colares regions. The clay and limestone soils produce white wines with a citrus color, a fruity flavor and aroma, and an acidity very characteristic of the region's preferred grape variety: Arinto.
Arinto – Strangler Dog
Vine cultivation in Bucelas was introduced by the Romans probably around 200 BC. Respecting this region's past in producing excellent wine, Biogrape is making its mark by producing the first organic DOC Bucelas wine of the modern era. Produced at Quinta do Casal da Cruz, in perfect harmony with nature, it is the result of immense dedication and passion that transformed grapes into wine (ASIDE).
Exam Notes
That's one of the fascinations of wine. Each person, at each time and place, manages to experience wine differently. Open the bottle and enjoy all the sensations that are inside the glass.
There are a few notes you can start with: subtle citrus fruits, minerality, a dry and elegant character. But there's much more to discover: an earthy sensation, green coffee, and toast. On the palate, it's structured, elegant, fresh, and with a long finish.
