Alsace Riesling Bio Schieferkopf Lieu-dit Buehl 2017

Just a few steps from one of the paths to Santiago de Compostela, in the town of Bernardvillé, this plot is located on a very special subsoil, the only vein of blue schist in Alsace, dating back to the Precambrian (more than 542 million years).

Its soil, deeper than that of the neighboring Fels plot (more than 30 cm), gives Lieu-dit Buehl its potency.
The south-facing exposure, combined with a very steep slope (up to 40%), results in a very concentrated and very round wine.

Tasting Notes

Color : yellow with green reflections, clear, bright.
Nose : Open to notes of exotic fruits such as pineapple and mango, given by the solar character of this south-facing terrain. We also find very mineral expressions of white flowers
Mouth : The wine has a beautiful volume with a complex structure. The attack is powerful, with notes of ripe fruits. The schist character of the terroir is expressed in a very beautiful acidic texture and an iodized finish.
